Mission

Amnesty International is a world-wide human rights movement which is independent of any government, political faction, or religious creed. Amnesty International works for the release of prisoners of conscience: people who have never used nor advocate violence, but are imprisoned solely for their beliefs, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or gender. Amnesty International also works for fair trials and an end to torture and executions.
